About Polished Metal
Metal polishing is part of the plating process. All types of metal can be polished to various lustres and finishes. The polishing of metal dates back more than two thousand years.
The attraction of polished metal is it's bright finish, although many finishes can be achieved. Most polished metal requires regular maintenence to retain it's lustre, and is often subseptable to corrosion or tarnishing. This is often overcome by laquering.
