Yes, we can. We undertake and arrange repairs for our customers.

- How long is your turnaround time?
It is dependent on how fast the work is coming in, however,
it normally varies between two and six weeks.

- The items I want chroming are red rusty, will you be able to re-chrome them?
Yes, so long as there is enough metal to polish and they have
not rusted through. Even if they have rusted through, they can still be repaired.

Yes we can. We need to be informed of the finish at the outset.

Our standard is of the highest quality. We strive to do the

can it be restored to a perfect condition?
Yes it can. Obviously,
as with all restoration work, the cost is proportional to the work involved.

are usually successful.

Yes we do.

Yes we do. However, there are a lot of myths associated with
copper plating, see the copper-myth for more information.

- I have had plating done by other companies; it looks good but goes rusty
within a year, what’s gone wrong?
Usually this is caused by the work being plated by a commercial
plating company. The chrome plating applied by these companies is usually
only suited to inside applications.

- Do you nickel plate vintage parts?
Yes, we do the original
polished dull nickel finish as originally applied to these parts. Bright
nickel is not the correct finish.

- What do I need to do to look after my chrome?
On completion of your work
all, you will be given a leaflet which explains the best ways to look after
your chrome.

- Can you give prices over the phone / e-mail?
We can only give very approximate prices as a guide. We cannot
give quotations, as untill the parts are seen, as we cannot assess the amount
of work envolved.

- Can you plate aluminium?
Yes, but plating is not recomended on aluminium.

- Can you plate mazak (AKA zinc alloy or pot metal)?
Yes we can, but the finish is subject to the quality of the
base material. So we can only do as good a job as the material will allow.

- Can you fill the holes in mazak?
We know of no effective
method of filling the holes in mazak. The correct way is to polish them out,
however this is usually not possible.

- Do you do zinc plating?
Yes we do,we do both clear (silver colour) and yellow (gold colour) passivate zinc.
